Near the museum building is the Open Air Museum Gammlia. Here you can check out old buildings from different places in the county, play with the animals or experience old types of handicraft and traditions.
The summers are filled with activities. But an everyday walk in winter garb is quite okay too. During one weekend in December the area is practically seething with Christmas market crowds.
